Feeling like a Master Coffee Cupper???
If you feel like challenging your coffee tasting skills, try a “blind” tasting. You can do this with two – or maximum of three – coffees. Choose one person to pour the coffees randomly into the cups, and record which coffees were in which cups on a secret “master” sheet of paper. After everyone tastes the coffees and has recorded their flavor notes, the results are compared to the master.
The most important rule of coffee tasting …
Have fun, everybody’s sense of taste is different, everybody is right in choosing the best cup of coffee for themselves.

The Folgers Coffee Company began in 1850 in San Francisco as the Pioneer Steam Coffee and Spice Mills. James A. Folger, a Nantucket native, journeyed across Panama to San Francisco with two of his brothers to join the 1849 Gold Rush. While his brothers sought their fortunes in the hills, James Folger joined William Bovee and bought a mill to grind roasted coffee beans, tea and spices.
Folger traveled through the California gold camps selling his goods and took over the entire business in 1872 when his partner left to mine for gold. The Company eventually became the leading coffee brand west of the Ohio River. The Folger Company was purchased by Procter and Gamble in 1963.
Since P&G acquired Folgers, it has doubled its business, making it America's number one coffee brand. Folgers continues to produce superior quality coffee, using mountain-grown beans ripened to perfection.
